SALE LOCATION: Duncan Ranch is located north of Joplin, MT. Proceed through Joplin 18 miles on the paved road, at the end of the pavement, go 2 miles west and 6 more miles north. At the mailbox gate follow the road ¾ mile to the buildings.

ACCOMODATIONS: We would be more than happy to make arrangements for you locally if you need to stay over. Contact Bruce or Tammy as listed below.

INSPECTION OF CATTLE: Bulls and cow herds are available for inspection at any time at the ranch. Please bring this catalog with you when you come to the sale.

SIGHT UNSEEN PURCHASES: Inevitably, some prospective buyers cannot attend our sale. When we understand a customer’s program and needs, we feel that we actually have an advantage if they allow us to represent them. We naturally know more about our own cattle than the potential buyer can, and we can use this extra knowledge for the buyers’ benefit. The extra responsibility that is placed on our shoulders is backed with a guarantee of “full satisfaction upon delivery, or you can load them back on us”. While we prefer that our customers come to choose their own bulls to assure that they get what they want every time, this program has been successfully used by a number of people over the years. We have never had a bull sent back. If you are interested in this unique provision, give us a call or drop us a line.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Terms of the sale are cash unless credit arrangements have been made prior to the sale. All cattle will be at purchaser’s risk as soon as sold, but will be boarded for a reasonable length of time after the sale, at Seller’s expense. Any person attending the sale does so at his/her own risk and the owners or management assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accident which may occur. When making settlement, please leave specific instructions in writing for transfer and shipping.

SELECTION AND BIDDING
Sale prices will be posted on Opening Day, March 9, 2024. On Opening Day we will ask that all bids be turned in by 1:00 PM (MST) or sooner. Bids will be posted on a large board in view of all attendees. If you wish to raise your bid, top someone else’s bid, or choose a different bull prior to 1:00 sale time, you will simply state your intention and the adjustment will be added to the board. No pressure—no rush! Seller reserves the right to accept or reject any “lower than posted” bids.

GUARANTEE
Every animal in this sale is, to the best of our knowledge, free from any disease or defect and a guaranteed breeder. We offer no warranty on animals that are fitted for show or resale by the purchaser. No adjustment or refund will be due on any animal unless a claim for release is made in writing within six months of purchase. If an animal fails to breed after a trial of six months, it may be returned to the Seller in good condition and in compliance with the health regulations of Montana. The Seller reserves the right to try said animal for six months, and if it proves to be a breeder, to return it to the Buyer at the Buyer’s expense. If the animal proves to be a nonbreeder, Duncan’s will retain the animal or have it sold for their account, and they then reserve the right to elect to either refund the purchase price to the Buyer or give the Buyer credit in their next sale for an amount up to the purchase price to be spent on one head of the same sex. In case of the latter election, the Buyer will owe any balance due, if he bids above the original purchase price. He will not, however, be due any partial refund if he buys the animal for less than the purchase price since he will have received a “one for one” adjustment with an animal he selected. No warranty of any nature is expressed or implied.

SELLERS’ SEMEN RIGHTS
Duncan’s reserve the right to keep a breeding interest with/without possession, in any bull so designated in the catalog or verbally during the sale. On any and all other bulls in the sale which are collected in the future, Seller reserves the right to 150 units of semen and registration rights, and will pay their share of collection costs.

DELIVERY
Free delivery in Montana on purchases of $5000 or more. On lesser purchases, delivery available for $100 per head, in state. Out of state delivery is available; no single lot will cost Purchaser more than $300 for delivery in the continental US. Arrangements can be made with us to keep your bulls until May 15, for $100/month—no delivery guaranteed. If you want us to deliver your purchase, we strongly urge that they be insured.
